Welcome to Hogwarts!

Ignoring the curious looks he got from most of the people in the Hall, he focused on sitting down and starting to eat. He could sense that his new boss was slightly miffed about him coming late, but, it wasn't his fault. Maybe if they had told him earlier, but..................He knew the reason why they didn't. If they had, he would have tried to get someone else put in for him.

But they couldn't have that could the? Rolling his eyes, he turned to the person sittinging beside him. "So what do you teach?"

Salazar raised an eyebrow when one of the teachers arrived late to the sorting ceremony. The only reason he noticed anyone but Sirena was because the man got in his way of said Headmistress. Salazar saw how Sirena seemed put out by the man's tardiness, but she smiled at him nonetheless and pointed to the spot next to him.

The man took a seat next to him and then asked him what he taught. "I teach Flying." Salazar explained. "And you?" Salazar was very happy that no one knew his real name and they all thought he was just a Flying teacher. It was a very powerful feeling.

"Transfiguration." Will answered, surveying the students as he took helping of the food. "Say, do you have any experience with kids?" He asked, there was no reason not to, and why not make conversation, after all, that was what he was here for. "I expect yours would be tougher, more injuries." He stated, drinking some of his pumpkin juice.


This was what he was here for, he was supposed to mingle in with the teachers, and what better place then to start now, on the very first day. Maybe I could finish early and quit.....He mused, but he wasn't going to quit until he finds out, that's for sure.

Hearing Professor Potter announce that now it was time for the feast to begin, Alex's brain let go of all thinking procedures. Including the thought she was having before, who was that guy who was late?

Piling a mini mountain of food on her plate, Alex shoved in a spoonful of mashed potatoes in her mouth, feeling absolutely contended and happy in that moment.

Nathan had watched the teacher's table with interest. He had been lost in his thoughts and missed when the food around them appeared. It was only when everyone around him had begun eating that he realized this. He looked down and was quick to add food onto his plate.
There were two new Gryffindors yet by their reactions to each other, it was clear that they were not friends. However that thought went to the back of his mind as he ate.

Viole, lost in thought, almost didnt hear the headmistress say the feast had begun. Violet wasnt very hungry, but she took a little bit of food anyway. She was happy there was a new Hufflepuff, but that wasnt what was bugging her. What was bugging her was it felt like someone was staring her down, but she couldnt find who it was. She sighed, and began to eat.

Stella eat quietly, observing everyone around her. It seemed mostly that everyone was focused on their food, but occasionally a student would look up and stare at Stella before they got caught. A few Slytherins at her table would try and engage her in conversation and she would stare at them pitifully before ignoring them. She was the Heir of Slytherin, she had to act the part.

At the moment, Stella wished that the students were aloud to sit with people from different houses. She would probably sit by Violet or Alex or maybe even Andrew. She didn't want to sit with these Slytherins who she was sure were going to try and be friends with her because she was the Heir. It was pathetic and caused a rush of anger to go through. Merlin she couldn't wait till the classes started.

Eden watched all the students get sorted with interest, but not that much. She glanced over at her Head of House and gave him a half-smile. No Ravenclaws this year. Shame if you asked her. As Professor Potter announced that it was time to eat, she tucked in with zealous endeavor. Eden was ravenous; she hadn't eaten since breakfast at home.

The only time she ever really paid attention to the sorting was when this blonde girl named Stella Riddle was called up. It was obvious that she would go into Slytherin just by hearing her last name. Eden wasn't going to hold it against the girl though, no, she would only do that when Stella did something unsavory to her. Hopefully that wouldn't happen.

Cassie sat at the staff table, nervous. This was her first year teaching, and she didnt want to mess up. She hadnt started teaching right after she had gotten out of Hogwarts for that reason, but she worked at the Greenhouses from time to time.

She watched the Sorting, dissapointed there was only one new Hufflepuff. She had been a former hufflepuff, but wasnt the Head of the house, as much as she would like to have been. She say the Prefect, Violet, playing with her Prefect badge, no doubt wanting to take it off. Cassie inwardly laughed, liking the girl already.

She payed close attention when "Riddle, Stella" Was called, but focused more on the fact that a teacher was late. William Black. Cassie had been sitting by a Parker fellow, and she watched as William sat by him and started chatting about what they taught.

Brandon sat by Violet at the Hufflepuff table. He and Violet had been best friends since the first year, and Brandon secretly had a crush on her. He didnt tell her though.

He watched the sorting, clapping along with all the other Hufflepuffs when a girl names Theresa had been sorted as a Hufflepuff. Brandon had payed stricter attention when a "Stella Ridde" had been sorted, knowin that she would be a Slytherin.

When the sorting was done, the headmistress announced that dinner was starting. He looked as the food magicially appeared, and began to eat.

Clover was virtually silent through the entire sorting, staring at her plate. She didn't even notice the Headmistress say that the feast was to begin. Instead, she stared at the ever enchanting ceiling of the Great Hall, pleasantly aloof. Her head was perched on her hand, supported by the elbow on the table.

She didn't notice her arm slipping until she fell face-first into her food.

Sydni sat at the Gryffindor table, a small smile played at the corner of her lips. She remembered her sorting, and it was always fun to see the terrified looks of the first years sighing in relief as they walked to their new tables.

She was lost in thought, twirling her hair on her finger. She didnt even notice the Feast had begun until the headmistress Sirena, a cousin of Sydnis, had said the feast had begun.

Averie stood beside Sirena, next to the Head Boy, changing her hair color every minute or so. She was bored and none of the newbies were really catching her attention. Though, one of the Slytherins-- The Riddle girl, would be interesting to take under her wing. Anyone who would boost Averie's popularity was good in her book. She would have to see how the girl is before she met her.

Deciding that a bright electric blue was good for the night, Averie waited for Sirena to introduce her or something like that. She just wanted to eat. The food looked too good.

Marietta was not bothering to hide the fact that she was bored out of her mind. She clapped along with the others, but she didnt know why they were clapping. She stopped paying attentioin after a girl was sorted into Hufflepuff.

Mariettas gaze drifted toward Averie, and she stifled laughter as Evie changed her hair color every second or two. It was better than sitting through the sorting. When Evie finally decided on electric blue, Marietta slipped back into her daydreaming.

Haiden sat at the Great Table with an amused smile on his face. He couldn't believe Sirena had convinced him to return to Hogwarts as the Gamekeeper. She had said it would be temporary, but Haiden knew that his sister would try her hardest to keep him in the position. Haiden shook his head slightly at his very manipulative sister as she continued with the Sorting.

Haiden would be lying if he said he wasn't interested by the Riddle girl. It wasn't everyday that you discovered that your grandfather's enemy has an heir. Haiden would have to talk to Sirena about that. It was very intriguing.

Glancing over at the Head girl, Haiden grinned when he saw the girl making her hair change color every minute or so. She was very beautiful and didn't seem to mind the attention she was receiving. Haiden stifled a laugh when she chose the most noticeable blue. She would be someone Haiden would look out for around Hogwarts.
