Yes, you are going to decorate. No, you don't need to like it!

Violet hummed as she pulled out the boxes of decorations she had in her attic. She had spent all morning finding the boxes, and she now could start decorating her house. Since her parents were out of town the whole weekend, she decided to surprise them when they got home.

Violet wiped her sweaty brow and stretched out her back. She heard a soft knock at her door, and went to see who it was.

Nathan waited at the door while he wondered if he had even got the adress right. He was pretty sure this was the address Violet told him aout.

"Wild Flower?" he said as he rocked on the balls of his feet. If this wasnt the right address then who ever lived here would think he was crazy.

Violet heard the oh so familiar nick name a very familiar someone had said aloud. She opened the door and hugged Nathan tightly. "You came!" She squealed. Violet, for a little bit, had highly doubted that he would show up at all. She was very happy that he surprised her.

"Come in." She motioned to the living room. "Prop your feet up, go get something to eat, do something." She flopped on the couch. "And close the door behind you please!"

Nathan chuckled and hugged her back. He walked inside and made sure to close the door behind him. The last thing he needed was a rogue prefect.

"Very Christmasy" he joked while he looked over the boxes and decorations. Just looking at everything made him feel tired as he sat down.

"Not Christmasy yet." Violet reminded Nathan as she tapped him on his nose. "We have to get it all out!" She stopped, almost forgetting the best part. "And we are doing it the muggle way." Violets eyes danced with amusement.

"Anyways, how are you?" She asked curiously.

"The muggle way?" Nathan snorted. There was no way he could be trusted to do that without breaking a few things. "There is no way I will be able to do this" he said, scrunching his nose a little but standing up anyway and walking over to the boxes to see what things were in there.

"I was having a very nice day until you somehow tricked me into doing manual labour" he joked, smirking slightly at her. "How about you?" he asked.

"Sure there will. If you break anything Ill fix it." Violet promised, feeling like that was what he was worried about. She sat down on the boxes and smiled at him. "Im glad youre here." She said quietly.

Violet gasped, a little upset, but more amused. "This isnt manual labor!" She scoffed. "This is finally getting to see you for once!" She mock pouted and sighed.

"Im great." Violet really was. Well, better than she had been for a while at the very least.

"You may have to" Nathan said. "I will break something without a doubt" he chuckled before opening one of the boxes next to Violet. There was baubles and colourful things in it.

He smiled when he heard her say she was glad he was here. "I am too, I missed my favourite Wild Flower" he said and kissed her cheek.

"Alright, if I come around more in future or you come over to my house, there can be less manual labour" he teased.

"That's good to hear" he nodded as he took out a very glittery looking thing.

"You are so negative!" Violet laughed as she ran a hand through his hair. Same old Nathan, nothing had changed.

Violet immedietly turned red, and hid her face in her hands, groaning.

"Fine. I can promise you that much." Violet shook her head with a small grin. "What am I going to do with you?" She teased. But, she really didnt know what she was going to do with him. He was just so.... Nathan. And she loved hanging out with him.

"Are you seeing anything interesting yet?" Violet asked him, genually curious. She hadnt opened these boxes in years. Her feet swung back and forth on the box she was perched on.

Nathan gave a half hearted shrug. "I always am" he chuckled. And that wasn't an exaduration either. He really always was but it didn't bother him.

He rooted more through the box and glanced at her when he heard her groaning. "Still dont like that name?" he grinned. Wild Flower was the perfect nickname for her. At least, he thought so and her reactions to that name were half the reason he said it in the first place. It was just too cute.

"Hey, I'm not that hard to get along with" he said in mock hurt as he threw some tinsel at her. He chuckled when he saw the silvery tinsel on her. "How about we decorate you instead?" he teased.

"I am" he joked without looking away from her.

"Im going to change that." Violet crossed her heart, looking Nathan dead in the eye. She raised an eyebrow, to see what he would planning to say to that.

"No, is lovely." She replied very sarcastic. Violet stuck out her tounge, furious she hadnt yet found a good a good nick name for him.

"Youre right." Violet giggled. Nathan was defensive. And adorable. Wrinkling her nose at the tinsle on her, she took it off and threw it back at him. "How about no?" She chastised with a laugh.

"What would that be?" Violet asked flirtatiously, leaning her head in her hands, her arms on her legs.

"I doubt it" Nathan said honestly as he shrugged. Many have tried before but none have managed to do it yet.

"Glad you think so, I will call you it a lot more now, Wild Flower" he said, fully aware that she was being sarcastic about liking the name. He chuckled and stuck his tongue out too before looking back to the boxes.

"I'm great to get along with" he bosted with a grin and caught the tinsle. It was then that he put on a pout. "Oh come on. You would look adorable covered in tinsle and baubles" he whined teasingly.

He smiled when he picked up on her flirtasious tone. Leaning forward, he kissed her cheek. "You of course" he said.

"Just you wait!" Violet sing songed. She will do it. She already set it in her mind. Now, she had to do it. Because when Violet got something in her mind, she tried to do it until she succeeded.

"Oh hush." Violet grumbled. Her cheeks were probably the color of blood, and she did her best to keep a straight face and not notice it. But, it didnt work. She growled angrily and once again found her head in her hands, not wanting to show Nathan her face and him to be all smug about it.

"I know you are." Violet said casually. She grinned when she saw him pout. "Im sure I would, but..." Violet sucked in a dramatic breath. "Im adorable all the time." She rolled her eyes at herself. Of course she wasnt adorable. Or attractive.

"Little old me?" Violet asked, shocked. She had thought it was something in the boxes upon boxes. "Youre just saying that." She announsed heatedly.

Nathan laughed a little. "Wont be easy but good luck I guess" he chuckled, smiling.

He grinned as he watched her try and control herself which didn't work at all when she growled and put her head in her hands. It was too funny and adorable. "You don't like Wild flower.... how about Mother Hen?" he asked. Yes, he was pushing it but he didn't care at this stage.

"I know you are. Your funny too" he said as he took out more things that looked like they hung from the wall or something like that. It was all in knots so he made it is mission to unravel it and see what exactly it was.

"I like a challange." Violet replied in all confidence.

"Dont you dare." She snapped her head up. "Anything but that. Ill do anything!" She couldnt imagine the horror of being called 'mother hen.' That would be awful.

"Not even!" Violet turned to Nathan, not hiding her eye roll. She was the plainest, most boring person on the face of the whole earth.

"Good because that's what it would be" he said as he tried to untangle the decorations. Somehow in his tries, he got tangled in them too.

"You dont want me calling you that?" he chuckled. "It would be amusing to call you by that name in the Great Hall at breakfast" he joked, not really meaning it. He wasn't that cruel.

"Believe what you want" he smiled, shrugging. He had finally managed to unravel all the tinsel and put them on the table.

Violet looked as Nathan struggled with the decorations, not knowing how to reply. Seeing him tangled in them made her laugh, and Violet didn't attempt to help him in the slightest.

"Not amusing at all." Violet pouted. "And I don't!" She said exasperatedly.

"Hmmm. I think I will." Violet played with the tinsel that Nathan laid on the table. "I don't know what you see in me." Violet admitted honestly.
