Taking a stroll at midnight

Marietta walked along the lakes edge, her shoes in her hands, feet in the water. She had decided that she would go outside for a while, considering she hadnt slept at all the previous night, and had no intentions of sleeping again that night.

The moon was shone on the waters surface, revealing that it was full. Marietta stopped, and sat down with a long sigh. She played with the small flower patch near her, and began making a flower chain.

Hearing a crack of a branch from somewhere very near, Marietta froze, waiting to see who was out there with her.

Anastasia had found, to her huge disappointment, that the castle was too huge to be able to be discovered and mapped out fully, in just one night. So now here she was, again, walking around the grounds today. She had considered asking Alex to come, but the girl had been in too heavy a sleep. Whatever she had been reading the night before had obviously been very taxing on her.

Whether she admitted it or not, she had been feeling a little sleepy, precisely why she had come out, the cool night air had helped make her feel more awake. She was still careless though, stepping on some dry sticks as she sat down next to the lake, looking at the moon.

Marietta stood up caushiosly, pulling her wand from her pocket. "Lumos." She muttered, and the tip of her wand lit up. She begain slowly walking to see the source of the noise.

After she had walkd for what seemed like forever, she came face to face with a girl no older than eleven.

Staz blinked, her eyes adjusting to the new light. After a lot of blinking, shielding and contraction, her eyes finally focused and she made out a girl. She looked to be definitely Fifth Year, if not older. Staz wondered why the girl had come up on her like that, because, if she remembered correctly, and she did, this was no Head girl rounds.............so why then?

Figuring if she would just ask, she would get a better response, she asked, "Um......What? Why"

Marietta whispered "Nox." and the light disapeared. "Sorry, I thought you were something else. You scared me." She sat down by the girl and chuckled. "So, what are you doing out here?" Marietta wondered curiously.
